Beginners Section

If you are new to PSP I suggest that you do these lessons in the order they appear as they build on each other.  For example you may be doing a later lesson that asks you to do something that was covered in a previous lesson.

Introduction to PSP 8 This lesson will cover the PSP 8 workspace.  It will introduce you to the different areas of the workspace, show you how to turn workspace items such as palettes and toolbars on and off, and show you how you can rearrange the workspace.  We also cover loading and saving workspaces and Preferences.
Basics and Options In this lesson we will cover some basics such as opening and saving images and more.
Palettes and Help In this lesson we will describe the palettes and using PSP help.
Materials Palette In this lesson we will cover the Materials palette and Material dialog.
Tools Toolbar In this lesson we will cover the Tools toolbar and give you a brief overview of each of the tools.
Layers Palette In this lesson we will be covering the different areas of the layers palette such as layers, visibility, transparency, blend modes, context (right click) menu, groups, and so on.
Selection and Move tools In this lesson we will cover making selections and using the Move tool.
Text tool In this lesson we will be covering the Text tool.
Preset Shapes This lesson will cover how to use Preset shapes.
Effects and Effects Browser In this lesson we will briefly cover PSP Effects and using the Effects Browser.
More on Effects In the lesson we will cover some of the most commonly used PSP 8 effects.
Adjusting In this lesson we will explore some of the items on the Adjust menu. We will also see how the Greyscale tool works and see how to colorize using the Flood tool.
Scripts and More In this lesson we will use scripts to enhance a photo and add a caption. We will also create a frame for the photo using Add Borders, Dropper tool, and Inner Bevel.
Making Images Fit In this lesson we will be covering Canvas Size, Cropping, Resizing, and Feathering.

Intermediate Section

These tutorials do not contain any screen shots.  They were tested by PSP Magic Testers and several of the testers felt that the absence of the screen shots helped inspire creativity.  You are always free to e-mail me if you need help.  Special thanks to the PSP Magic Testers.
